Agios Theologos Beach | Kos
There is something about road trips when you are in a foreign destination. Somehow I have this wanderlust in me that makes me want to see it all. Thomas and I decided to rent a Mini Cooper convertible and we drove to the other side of the island of Kos. And that was a very good idea, we loved the freedom a convertable gave us. And when you drive a convertible, you have the best views too. We stayed in Kos Town and had a magical harbour view from our hotel. So we were keen on exploring some beautiful sights, in the middle of nowhere.
On our way to the monastery of Agios Ioannis (what I call the most beautiful part of Kos) we stumbled upon this beautiful beach. It was right before all the restaurants opened (they all open when they celebrated Greek Easter), the beaches have been empty since the summer of 2018 therefor and untouched. The sea was a bit rough and brought back all this rubbish from the sea. It was right there where we found this peaceful spot and we had it all to ourselves.
The clear blue water and the whitish rocks made a magical view. Even the trees that stood the test of time are a perfect spot to find some cooling shades in the middle of the summer. Maybe it is places like this that make these European summers so special. Can’t wait to be back for more.
